The Iraq Stock Exchange held a meeting for the general assembly of the shareholding companies that are listed on the ISX at its headquarters on Apr 24, 2019 to elect the assembly's representative to the 2019-2020 term of the Board of Governors. The meeting was headed by Mr. Thaer Adnan Hashim, Chairman of the Board of Governors, and Mr. Taha Ahmed Abdulsalam, CEO of the ISX. With the attendance of representatives for 62 listed companies, out of 103 ones, and those of the internal control departments of the Iraq Securities Commission (ISC) and the ISX, a secret ballot process was conducted, and resulted in the victory of Mr. Ayman Umran Abdullah after obtaining 32 votes of the general assembly's members.
