The Iraq Stock Exchange’s General Assembly held its annual meeting on the basis of rules of procedure at Baghdad Hotel on May 5, 2018. The meeting was attended by 35 out of the total of 44 members, saw the participation of the Monitoring and Inspection Department of the Iraq Securities Commission, and its agenda included:
1. Discussing and approving the Iraq Stock Exchange ‘s Year Book and its Board of Governors’ annual report for 2017.
2. Discussing and approving the final accounts and Auditor’s report for the fiscal year ending Dec 31, 2017.
3. Discussing and approving the plans prepared by the ISX’s Board of Governors for 2018.
4. Electing president and members of the ISX’s Board of Governors for the next term of office.
5. Other issues, the most important of which were discussing the mechanism of financial settlements with the clearance bank, calling banks to provide underwriting services, paying attention to the mechanisms of compliance and risk assessment, and linking the investor ISX-account with their banking counterpart.
